PVP Laser Treatment.
My father has a BPH - enlarged prostate problem which makes it difficult form him to pass urine. He is also taking some medication for anticoagulant, anemia, and a heart problem - if I was not mistaken leaking heart valve .
So standard TURP is not possible.
I googled around and found out that the best solution today is the laser PVP, which claimed to cause less blood loss to the patient, and could be done to a person who take anticoagulant medications.
However, the only hospital in Malaysia that listed PVP as their one of their offered services is Gleneagles Intan Medical Center. Its listed cost for a procedure is RM19k.
No government hospital has the service.
I also found that a preowned but never used equipment used for the operation was for sale at approximately RM200k (USD 60k). Which I think is not cheap, but not too expensive either.
Hopefully a govt hospital could get or somebody could sponsor a purchase.
