I love dancing water shows

We took Renecito to a certain enchanted theme park the other day, which I will write more about as soon as I figure out how to connect my camera to Holly’s laptop. One of my favorite things about the park we went to was that it had a dancing water show. I’ve been a big fan of dancing water shows my entire life and have especially fond memories of the long retired Sparklett’s Water Fantasy at San Diego Sea World, where colorful fountains would sprinkle in tune with Neil Diamond’s America. I get chills just thinking about it. The dancing water shows of my youth were an intimate affair, and would seem miniscule when compared to todays Bellagio fountains. Set in small theaters, they were a relaxing place to escape the hustle and bustle of more hectic surroundings. I guess they’re still that, only things have gotten a lot bigger and a lot more hectic, and consequently dancing waters have gotten bigger.
Its been a long time since I’ve visited the Disneyland Hotel, where this postcard comes from. In the days before Downtown Disney, the seasoned Disneylander could hop a monorail in Tomorrowland, grab drink at one of the Disneyland Hotel bars, and catch a magical dancing water show in the labyrinthine hotel courtyard. The monorail doesn’t stop there anymore, and the bars have inched closer to the park.
